John Pemberton is far from sure that the current crop of Manchester United kids can compare to the illustrious class of '92. But Sheffield United's academy boss is certain that there are still some real gems in Old Trafford's present youth team. The latest incarnation of 'Fergie's Fledglings' paraded their considerable talents in The FA Youth Cup Final first leg showdown against the junior Blades at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night. A bumper crowd of 29977 witnessed an enthralling 2-2 draw, and Pemberton reckons next Monday's return clash at Old Trafford will be every bit as exciting and entertaining. But, even if the Reds youngsters manage to clinch a tenth Youth Cup triumph for the club, they are still not destined to match the achievements of the boys from 19 years ago. Not all of them, anyway. Pemberton said: "Giggs, Neville, Scholes, Beckham, Nicky Butt...yes, that class of '92 really was a bit special, and a lot of them are still going strong now. "To come up with a bunch of kids like that again will take some doing, but this present group at United are very good indeed. "Ravel Morrison is a wonderfully talented forward who is capable of scoring and creating goals from nothing.
